  6. Red is an auspicious colour for the Chinese. Pentas are good butterfly attractants.

    Butterflies here like my red Pentas and white Pentas equally well. I would have voted for red if asked which they liked best. Where I planted white, pink and red in a row, they go from flower to flower without regard for color.

  8. Dear Andrea, I love the butterfly shot. I have an ambivalent relationship with red. I used to have mostly pastel coloured flowers but then got bored with the colour scheme - after a decade or two! Now I have some Australian natives with red flowers. In the tropics red and yellow look very normal, and wonderful.
