Butterflies here like my red Pentas and white Pentas equally well. I would have voted for red if asked which they liked best. Where I planted white, pink and red in a row, they go from flower to flower without regard for color.
Dear Andrea, I love the butterfly shot. I have an ambivalent relationship with red. I used to have mostly pastel coloured flowers but then got bored with the colour scheme - after a decade or two! Now I have some Australian natives with red flowers. In the tropics red and yellow look very normal, and wonderful.

Red is an auspicious colour for the Chinese. Pentas are good butterfly attractants.
