I think that they will also spend periods in such places during bad weather. I have seen other species of butterflies crawling deep down into the vegetation in the evening to shelter for the night. Other species simply roost on a grass stem, so I fear they wouldn't survive a storm.Nick Morganhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06431235724349702199noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4747604230045436342.post-64959728547451808612017-01-09T16:01:54.437+08:002017-01-09T16:01:54.437+08:00Thanks much Birgitta, Happy New Year! Thanks much Birgitta, Happy New Year!Andreahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06044386271018560595noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4747604230045436342.post-24098668301439249022017-01-09T16:01:24.378+08:002017-01-09T16:01:24.378+08:00Pat, your concern is much appreciated. My sister and 2 kids live with my mother and we all go home every now and then from our work. I go home most weekends. I hope that once you have managed to clear up, your plants may benefit from their impromptu pruning. However some of the trees will take years to regrow.
